The most common problem I see in my practice is pain and discomfort in the shoulders and between the shoulder blades. Just about everyone living in New York has this problem at one time or another, and many people think it’s a serious injury of some sort. Ninety five percent of the time it’s not! You simply have very tight trapezius muscles. Little to worry about.

Acupuncture and deep tissue massage are tremendous helps in eliminating the trigger points and spasms that have accumulated in the muscles from stress, tension or too much time on the computer. However, self-care is the most important thing you can do to loosen up. When you are start feeling pain take a deep breath, and let it out real easy. You will feel your shoulders drop down and some of your pain will lessen. This will help every time.
