Francine Russo, who I’ve known for at least 10 years, is one of those rare and interesting people who is always learning, growing and changing. Along the way she chronicles life and how we live it. She’s built a pretty impressive list of credentials and is currently working on an upcoming book being published by Bantam, tentatively titled: Twilight of the Family: Aging Parents, Sibling Storms, and the Birth of the Next Generation Family.>More

Last night my sister and I were sitting in the family room and I said to her,”I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle to keep me alive. That would be no quality of life at all. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.”
So she got up, unplugged the computer, and threw out my wine.
