The question of winter hair was posted in “Hair” for our expert Mario Diab. Pretty timely. Here’s Mario’s answer:
Because winter weather causes dryness, you need to add more moisture to your scalp. Use a moisturizing conditioner. Massage your scalp and rinse thoroughly. Then add a hair serum. Style your hair as usual. A little trick for static-y hair: spray some static guard (found in your local pharmacy) into your hat. Leave it on for a few minutes and watch your hair fall into place.
Mario’s choices for moisturizing conditioner: Kerastase or L’Oreal Professional

What is a hair serum?
Static guard in my hat? What a brilliant idea! I’d heard of spraying on your brush, but that had never really done much good, as far as I could tell.
Great tips! But (like Barbara) I’d like to know what a hair serum is?
Hair Serum is a hair styling product that originates from an oil plant. It is a type of protein that helps hair feel silky smooth It protects and nourishes hair without giving it that weighed down feeling. It is perfect for all hair types and can be used daily in various ways. It helps to detangle hair, conceal split ends, as well as protects against heat from blow drying. You should apply it to damp hair before styling.
I prefer hair serums by Leonor Greyl, Kerastase, and Phyto. You can find these products at Sephora or any high-end beauty store.
