If you haven’t gotten to The Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center at Lincoln Center, you’ve missed a treat. Their website calls it “state-of-the-art.” We call it wonderful. Whether waiting or watching, you’ll enjoy both.

There’s a WAITING AREA with a giant size screen and extraordinarily comfortable seats, where it’s more interesting to watch the ticket holders texting, Kindle-ing, and gabbing, then to notice whatever is on the screen.

The show schedule is comprised of the best new documentary, art and foreign films, along the lines of Front Page … Mysteries of Lisbon Passione. Oh, and, once seated, you’ll be delighted by the aesthetics and comfort of the theatre itself. Who else but David Rockwell and the Rockwell Group were the designers. In your dreams, every cinema should be like this one!

Oh, who is this Elinor Bunin Munroe that the Center is named after? A Film Society of Lincoln Center board member and Emmy award-winning creator, designer, and producer of live-action and animated films.

The Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center

Located at:
